The Watershed Academy

The Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association (ECWA) is hosting a Watershed Academy on July 27, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Watershed Academy is specifically designed to help young people understand the importance of preventing polluted stormwater runoff and education about their local urban watershed. Through a series of four hands-on sessions, participants will leave the Academy with resources and an understanding of how to improve water quality and environmental stewardship for East Durham. Several organizations such as EPA, Clean Water Environmental Education Partnership, and the City of Durham will lead sessions at the workshop. The Watershed Academy is a free event. Lunch is available, and all participants will leave with an environmental toolkit and certificate of completion. Complete the registration process at https://sforce.co/2X6fAAF.
