Embrace your Neighborhood

The Community Engagement team works with residents to improve the appearance of their communities and positively impact the neighborhoods on several different levels: aesthetic beautify, safety and erosion control.    We do this through beautification projects, neighborhood cleanups and safety assessments.

These efforts can include Bull City Play StreetsPlay Streets close neighborhood streets to traffic, and open that space to the community to encourage physical activity.  They offer a high-impact approach to encouraging and increasing physical activity, particularly in neighborhoods that lack sufficient open space and activity.
