Women's History Month

Women's History Month

On March 21, the Main Durham Library hosted a powerful event: the Women's Panel Discussion titled "In Your Hands." In celebration of Women's History Month, women from the African American and Hispanic communities came together to engage in a candid conversation about the myriad challenges they encounter within the education system daily.

This event served as a platform for these women to shed light on the struggles they face and the pressing need for community engagement to advocate for equitable education and rights for our children.

It was a remarkable opportunity for unity and collaboration as attendees joined forces to address these issues head-on and explore potential solutions. Through collective voices and concerted efforts, the aim was to pave the way for better equal rights and opportunities for all.

Let's continue to work together, uplift each other's voices, and strive for a brighter, more equitable future for generations to come. ✊ #InYourHands #CommunityEmpowerment #EducationEquity #WomensHistoryMonth.
