NIS, Duke University Health System, and Healthy Durham 20/20 are working together to improve the health of Durham residents. These partners recognize neighborhoods are an important factor in the health of individuals and communities.

Healthier neighborhoods = Healthier residents

Thus, Neighborhood Matching Grants for Health (NMG-Health) will fund projects planned and implemented by Durham neighborhoods to enhance the well-being of their residents and community.

Specifically, NMG-Health will fund projects that increase neighborhood involvement and address Durham County’s health priorities.

Each applicant may request up to $2,500 in grant funds to implement projects. Neighborhoods will match NMG-Health funds through volunteer labor, professional services, material donations, and/or cash donations.
