Durham Seeks Input on Accessibility for ADA Transition Plan

Online Surveys in English and Spanish Open Until July 29

DURHAM, N.C. – Do you have concerns or suggestions on how the City of Durham can be more accessible for people with disabilities? Now’s your chance to share your feedback through an online survey available in both English and Spanish.

The City of Durham General Services Department is currently in the process of updating its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan. The accessibility plan provides a comprehensive strategy for access for individuals with disabilities to all City programs, services, activities, and public facilities, and also helps to address and prioritize current and future needs.

Deadline to Apply Is July 26

DURHAM, N.C. – Residents looking to play a more active role in their neighborhoods and the Durham community should apply now for the 2019 Durham Neighborhood College.

Co-sponsored by the City of Durham and Durham County governments, Durham Neighborhood College provides an opportunity for residents to learn about the organizations, operations, and services of both local governments. The program features a series of interactive classes facilitated by City and County employees who work hard to provide quality services to make Durham a great place to live, work, and play.
