Voting Period Open Now and Closes March 16
Durham residents are now invited to vote for the properties they like the best for the 2018 Golden Leaf Awards.
The Durham City-County Appearance Commission, Keep Durham Beautiful, and the Durham City-County Environmental Affairs Board are seeking voters for the People’s Choice Award to be presented at the 2018 Golden Leaf Awards Ceremony in April.
Homeowners, building owners, architects, landscape architects, developers, realtors and anyone involved in design, planning, and construction in Durham have entered projects completed within the last five years for this year’s competition. Residents can now choose their favorite project by visiting the Golden Leaf Awards website to review all of the nominated properties and casting their vote. The voting period for the People’s Choice Award is open until Friday, March 16.

The City of Durham Human Relations Commission is now seeking nominations of residents who have distinguished themselves by honoring the spirit of servant leadership in Durham.
In honor of National Fair Housing Month, the Human Relations Commission and the Human Relations Division of the City’s Neighborhood Improvement Department are hosting the 2018 Human Relations Advocacy Awards on Wednesday, April 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hayti Heritage Center, 804 Old Fayetteville St., Durham. This ceremony is free and open to the public.
