SPRING 2022 Neighborhood Matching Grants are CLOSED!!!
What is the Neighborhood Matching Grants Program?
The Neighborhood Matching Grants (NMG) program, awards matching funds to neighborhood groups to help make Durham’s neighborhoods better places to live, work and play. Each applicant may request up to $2,500 in matching funds.
Since 2016, the City has awarded over $100,000 to various neighborhoods in Durham. Your neighborhood could be next!
What do you need to apply?
A group of residents… It can be a group of residents who want to come together around an issue in their neighborhood. The neighborhood does not have to be “organized” (e.g. monthly meetings, listservs, etc.)
…who want to work together… Our goal is community engagement, so volunteer hours are great! A cash match is not required.
… on a project. Projects can include physical improvements and/or programming- like training, events, etc.
Step 1 - Review Grant Guidelines to ensure your group and project are eligible.
