We are thrilled to announce the Fall 2024 Community Engagement Mini-Grant recipients! This year's grantees were chosen among 87 applications, each demonstrating a commitment to creating positive change in our communities. We are excited to support these projects as they bring their inspiring visions to life!

 

Meet This Year’s Grantees:  

🌟Cornwallis Community Food Shuttle Initiative: Addressing food insecurity through innovative food distribution.  
🌟Grant Street Community  National Night Out: Promoting community safety and connection through a neighborhood event.  
🌟Rainbow Collective BIPOC Rainbow Family Play Date: Fostering inclusivity and safe spaces for families of color.  
🌟East Durham Senior Citizens at Holton Lunch and Learn Workshop: Empowering seniors with educational and social opportunities. 
🌟Scattered Sites Garden Box Expansion: Expanding community gardening to promote healthy living.  
🌟The Greens of Pine Glen Community Craft Workshop: Bringing neighbors together through creative
🌟McDougald Terrace/TCB properties Gun Violence Safe Space Activities: Providing a safe space for dialogue and activities to combat gun violence. 
🌟Thomas Mentor Leadership Academy Developing young leaders through mentorship and community service.
🌟Unity Village – National Night Out Strengthening community bonds through shared experiences. 
🌟TCB (The Pointe at downtown) Community Life: Enhancing community life with engaging and supportive activities. 
🌟Respuesta Rápida Recycling Initiative: Promoting environmental sustainability through community recycling efforts.
