The City of Durham’s Technology Solutions Assistant Director DeWayne Kendall spoke at Lucas Middle School located at 923 Snow Hill Road. This event is part of the Citizenship and Government Out­door classroom.

The purpose of the outdoor class is to enlighten students about civic pride, government and I inspire them to become active members in their community. Students are encouraged to ask questions of the presenter’s personal and professional experiences and why they became   interested in working for government.
