DURHAM, N.C. – Residents looking to play a more active role in their neighborhoods and the Durham community should apply now for the 2019 Durham Neighborhood College.

Classes will be held on seven Thursday nights beginning September 12 through October 24 from 6-8:30 p.m. A light meal is served prior to the start of each class and sessions are held at City and County facilities. There is a $30 fee for residents accepted into the program and a limited number of scholarships are available, if needed.

Applications are now being accepted through Friday, July 26. Space is limited to 30 participants with the goal of a diverse cohort representing different neighborhoods as well as residents outside the city limits. Area high school students ages 15 and up as well as Latino residents are encouraged to apply.
